A Few Good Challenges

I have been busy creating and posting to SCS but I never get a moment to write up a blog post so this one will cover all that I have worked on this past week. First up is this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC101 and for this card I used a brand new There She Goes image called Wonderful Winter Wishes and some OA Scraps from my desk.  I colored the image with copics, used oval big scallop oval nesties and then added some teal ribbon from Michaels and some teal brads.

Next up is this weeks There She Goes Sketch, TSG91. I used their new stamp called Buckets of Love and paired it with some scraps of Imaginesce Paper. Yes you can say I am trying to work my way through my scraps. You cant believe what is going on in my scrap box!!!! I colored my image with copics, cut it out with a circle nestie and sponged the edges with cantelope ink while it was still in the die to give that white border effect. My green panel was dry embossed, the chain of circles was created with a MFT dienamic and my border was created with a fiskars border punch. Ribbon is PTI.

Now I will show you my Cats Pajamas Tuesday challenge entry which was TCPTUES143. This weeks challenge was to have the word love or heart in your sentiment. The ONLY set I had with the word LOVE in the sentiment for TCP was Tutu Much. I combined two of the little bunnies onto one image. Kind of looks like a mama and baby or teacher and student. I adore how this came out and the sketch that I followed was from Crazy for Challenges. C4C71. I colored my image with copics and a glitter spica pen over the tutus. My dp is Girls Paperie and then I added a banner sentiment which I created myself with a button, a pretty pink pirouette bow and some sugared brads I found in stash. Pretty cute huh!! Oh and the border punch was fiskars again. And last but not least was this weeks MFT Sketch Challenge. MFTWSC4. This image is an Ala Modes called Time to Celebrate which I colored with my copics cut out with a circle nestie and mounted onto a blossom nesties cutout. Satin ribbon is from Michaels. My pearls were colored with copics to match and my dp is Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 and lastly is that adorable heart border which was created with a TE Die.

Phew thats a long post!!! I hope you enjoy the creations. Have a good day and stay warm.

Skipping Stones Design Tuesday Sketch

Well it is VERY early in the morning....I have not had coffee yet and I realized I forgot to post this post for today so forgive me if it is a bit short and to the point.

Another fantastic Tuesday Sketch over at Skipping Stones and the DT and Guests have put together such lovelies for you to look at. You must head over there and share the love.

For todays card I used the beautiful set called Always Here. I stamped with Rose Red Ink and then clear embossed it onto a piece of vellum. Which I NEVER use so I went to glue it onto my solid panel and realized....I dont know how to glue down vellum without the glue showing....Is there a trick to this I dont know about?? So I got creative and used two very pretty rhinestone brads. My paper is all K and Company and the little felt bird I purchased at Michaels.

Please take a glance over at Skipping Stones Design. Heather is having another great free shipping sale that you will not want to miss AND heres alittle secret for you....if you sign up for the newsletter, a special coupon is coming out this week so you will not want to miss that!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a good one!!!

Week four of Viva la Verve Challenges

Made this one for the last sketch challenge in January for Viva la Verve. This one came together so quick because there was no coloring in my image. My sentiment is Happy Birthday from Verve. My dp was a scrap I found in my folder. My ribbon was white seam binding that I colored with my copics to match the Blush Blossom paper. Then I added a prima flower, a hat pin and a few chocolate pearls and a band of crocheted ribbon.  Pretty Pretty!!!

So yes today was my birthday. No I did not make myself a birthday card as my son asked me but my hubby and family did give me cash to get some goodies with so a shopping I shall go. Oh and I went out for breakfast with some friends and when I got back my kids had made me a yummy birthday cake which of course I ate too much of today. OK tomorrows another day!!!

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great one!!

New Challenges to Play with!!!

I made this card today for two new challenges out there in blogging world. First, I created this for The Rubber Cafe's new Thursday challenge. (TRCC1) You can find the post HERE. This weeks challenge was to create a shaped card other than a square. Of course I chose a circle, and I new I wanted to use this gorgeous image from The Rubber Cafe called Hand Picked Floral. Being the image took up my entire circle I went with a clean and simple look for today and I am pleased with the way this turned out.

I stamped my image onto white cardstock and colored with my copics. The edges were sponged with Cantelope Memento ink and the Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Fruit Medley set.

THEN I realized that I had not used this stamp in awhile so I qualify for Jessie's Forgotten Stamp Friday Challenge which you can find here. FSF07. Go check out both challenges and enter your creations into the Mr Linkys on the bottom of the posts!!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Mojo Monday

I told you I was on a crafty roll. Two weeks in a row playing with the Mojo Monday Sketch. This one however had me scratching my head and walking away ALOT!!! I stare at it for alittle while and walk away. Come back and stare again (as if anything changed) and walk away again. Sometimes it works and sometimes, well, I have had a catastrophe or two in the garbage. Anyway....for todays card I used Mojo174 sketch. I used all Verve sets. I believe they were Starstruck and Seeing Stars. My dp were some scraps on my table so I am clueless and then I finished things off with a pretty Kiwi Kiss Bow, some tiny green pearls and alittle shimmer from my spica pen. Do I love it no....but its finished....thank goodness. Onto the next challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a happy Thursday!!

MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge

I am loving that MFT is having a weekly sketch challenge. There is nothing like a good sketch to get the Mojo going. For todays card I used another Ala Mode called Picture Perfect.  I stamped onto Xpress Blending Paper and colored with my copics. My dp is from MME True and Dandy. Ribbon is PTI and my stars were cut out with a die from MFT's dienamics. My little pearls were colored with my copics to match the card. I love that you can do that. I have colored ribbon, buttons and of course pearls.

Big Jets vs New England game on today. New England and New York are such fierce rivals and this is going to be a good game to watch. I am not a HUGE football fan but when there is a NY team this close to the superbowl it gets very exciting and I have to watch!!!

Thanks so much for stopping in today. Hope you enjoy the day and if you have a long weekend, enjoy the day off tomorrow.

I always enjoy playing along with Verve's Challenges and with a pile of new Verve stamps it makes it so much easier and of course more fun!!!! I used the Enjoy Today Plain Jane for todays card. Stamped onto PTI cardstock and colored with copics and then added a ton of crystals. My paper is a mix of OA and my cardstock is so saffron, black and kraft. My ribbon is the last that I had of this yummy May Arts Silk Ribbon. I must get more of this and my sketch if week 2 of Januarys Viva La Verve Challenge.

Seize the Cupcake

I am having a good time with Verve's Challenges. I created this for week 1 of the challenges with a newly purchased set that I got on sale during the holiday season called Seize the Cupcake. I stamped my sentiment onto a label 11 with Ruby Red ink. My cupcake was stamped three times. Once onto white cardstock and cut out then again for the yellow top and again for the papered wrapper. I then added some crystals to the little sprinkles on the cupcake. All of my dp is October Afternoon scraps that I love to this day. I happens to be the most yummy paper. I never tire of it. Then I added three tiny black brads on the second panel and some ribbon scraps to the sides of the sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I have kick started my Etsy store again so if you are interested, this is listed there for sale!!! Have a great day

I have been dying to ink up this set from Skipping Stones Design since I got it and today's Sweet Sunday Sketch was perfect for it. The set is called Chick Chat. I paper pieced this adorable little chic a dee with paper from MME Bloom and Grow. I used circle nesties to cut it out and pierced the scallops. My scallop border was created with die namics from MFT as were my cute little flowers. Then I finished things off with teal brads and cream ribbon. How cute is this??

Speaking of Skipping Stones...Heather is having a great sale starting tomorrow and two gorgeous new sets have just been released. Here are all the details about the sale and a peek at the two new sets. Thanks for stopping by today!!!!

SC314 Splish Splash

I played along with this weeks SCS Sketch Challenge this week and I used a new to me image from MFT called Splish Splash. I just have such a soft spot in my heart for these little PI boys from MFT. Yes I do have a son and I can remember the little mess he used to be in puddles. That is not to say my daughter didnt splash away but there are just not enough little sweet boy images out there so I could not wait to ink this cutie up.

I stamped my image with Memento Black ink and colored with my copics. The dp I used was purchased from TE called Little Boy from Echo Park. Then I just could not find the exact color ribbon I wanted so I used this white satin ribbon from SU and colored it with my copics to match. Perfect!!!. Finished it off with a tiny yellow button and some bakers thread. How sweet!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Mojo's Back with Mojo Monday

I know I have not been a regular poster recently but I am really trying to get atleast 5-6 cards posted a week in the new year. I love sketches and this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch was right up my ally. For my card today I used a gorgeous set from Skipping Stones Design called Always Here. I stamped my butterfly image twice, cut it out and doubled them for dimension. My dp is Basic Grey Curio and then I added a ton of chocolate pearls. Pretty right? I really like it.

Well I am off to Parent teacher conferences. Have a great night and thanks for stopping by!!

Here's to You!!

I went on a shopping spree this holiday. Purchased stamps from practically every vendor that I follow. This ala mode stamp called Cheers I purchased from MFT. Dont you just love her!!! I think she is so much fun and I want to create invitations to a party with her. She would just work so well!! For this card I stamped her twice. Once onto the white PTI Cardstock and once onto the yellow patterned paper from Crate Restoration. I paper pieced her dress and colored the rest with copics and added some glaze to the glass for alittle shimmer. I had this ribbon in stash which I also had purchased from MFT and then I created a paper rose flower with my die namics also from MFT. Cardstock is Pacific Point and Daffodil. Then for my sentiment I just created alittle tag with my scissors. I am really pleased with the way this came out.

Hubby is feeling alot better after his three operations. Just being back home is helping him so much and I am so thrilled to have him back home. We missed him so much!!! So now I play Nurse Ann for awhile which is fine with me!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a great day!!!

Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC98

Wow!! I finally had some free time to craft. With Hubby's surgery's this past month and now taking care of him at home I found myself with little to no time for crafting. Boy was I glad to see my crafting room!!!

So it's Sunday and for some inspiration I went straight to the Sweet Sunday Sketch. Hubby needs some thank you notes for a few get well gifts he received so I went right to my Skipping Stones Set called Sassy Snow. I stamped my image onto PTI Cardstock and colored with my copics and added some stickles to the bottom snow line which you cant really see in the picture. My dp is an older MME called Oh la la for him. Ribbon is from PTI and my brads were in my stash. I like the way this came out.

Okay I am off to soak up some more crafting time. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!
