3 Challenge cards to show you!!

I had a bit of time after the parade today to do a little crafting and I was able to wrap myself around 3 challenges. Yay me!!

My first card today is for Joannes Sketch Challenge plus three. Although I did not complete it in time to be in the running for the blog candy it was still a fun challenge to work with. This is the sketch and I chose to use gingham paper, printed paper, ledger paper and kraft paper as my choices. My image is a Penny Black image that I purchased at Stampers Dream. I colored it with my copics. My dp is October Afternoon and all cardstock is SU.

My second card is for Mercys Tuesday Sketch which can be found here. MTSC75. I used a cute image I just purchased from MFT called Little Loveasauras. How adorable is this little guy. Obviously he is paper pieced. I actually did a few layers so that I could make the spine a different color but I am not happy with the thickness of the layers. The dp I used for this one is Basic Grey and MME and all cardstock is SU, and the last challenge I accomplished today was Taylors Sketch Challenge. TESC115. For this card I pulled out some more MFT goodness and used the brand new WTG Goes Green. This set just makes me happy!! I did some paper piecing and coloring with my copics. My dp is MME, all cardstock is SU and I finished things off with some antique brads from SU.

So yes, I had a busy afternoon crafting and it felt GREAT!!! Have a great week and thanks so much for stopping by!!

Two in One Challenge

Wow!! Little Paper Shop is sponsoring two awesome challenges today that I wanted to share with you. There is a great sketch from Card Positioning Systems and then a challenge from the Oh Alice blog to use swirls on your card.

I incorporated both challenges into one and used one of  my favorite Little Paper Shop stamps called Butterflies. I started by stamping the butterfly in Real Red onto PTI cardstock twice. I cut one out and popped it up for dimension. Then I stamped the sentiment on the bottom of the panel. I cut everything out with my square nesties. My dp is from Imaginese Twitterpatted. I used a die to cut out my swirl and then finished things off with some Real Red brads, ribbon and a few crystals. I am very pleased with the way this turned out. It is so cheerful isnt it?

Prizes are being given away to random participants so you will want to head over to Card Positioning Systems and Oh Alice and find out all the particulars. You can also find them over at Little Paper Shop Blog.

Thanks so much for popping by today. Hope you have some great plans for this holiday weekend.

ABC's with SSSC70

Quick post as I am preparing for company tomorrow...BBQ at my house.....I went to the supermarket at 8:30 this morning to avoid the crowds and being I wanted to get out of there quickly I wound up over buying (surprise surprise as my husband would say being I always over buy food for a party.)

I made this cute little card last weekend for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC70. The whole swirl thing was throwing me off because it did not work with my baby themed card but the sketch inspired me so this is what I created.

I used my Bling Bet set from MFT. I stamped the letters with Tim Holtz ink and then used green stickles for the dots. My dp is as old as the hills but I think it is DCWV. My white glittery letters are Thickers that I picked up at my LSS and then I stamped the Congratulations sentiment onto a Spellbinders tag and looped through some bashful blue ribbon on the end. All cardstock is SU.

Well I am off to marinate some Shish Kabob....Have a great day and thanks for stopping by today.

Taylors Sketch with Millie

****Please scroll down form my Little Paper Shop Post!!**

Well Finally, I completed a sketch within the alloted time frame!!! This one is from Taylored Expressions. TESC114. Super fun sketch and with it I used a super adorable new stamp that I just purchased called Millie the Mouse from
MFT. If you cant read the sentiment on the bottom of the ribbon it says "You make me smile" and this little mouse makes me so happy.

I started by stamping Miss Millie onto PTI cardstock and paper piecing her with some delish paper from MME Bloom and Grow. But then again ALL MME paper is delish!!! Then I cut her out with circle and blossom nesties. All cardstock is SU. I finished things off with a fun sheer white ribbon bow topped with a crocheted flower and an orange crystal and I added three tiny orange crystals to the side of the circle.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

LPSC69 Kraft, Blue and Pink

I went real CAS today with my color challenge card for Little Paper Shop. The challenge today is to use Kraft, Blue and Pink. The blue and pink always bring me to baby cards so I went with one of my fav sets called Little One. I started by layering Enchanted Evening, Pink Pirouette and Kraft Cardstock. I did alittle scoring on the kraft. I stamped the stars onto the Pink Pirouette with Enchanted Evening ink. I cut the stars out and popped them up on dimensionals. I stamped this sweet little baby smiley face onto the Pink Pirouette and cut it out with a circle nestie. Then I added a big pink bow and the sentiment Little Star. Cute huh?

There is a prize to be won this week for joining the fun with this challenge. Check out all the deets on the Little Paper Shop blog and while there you will be inspired by the entire DT samples.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a great day!!

My scalloped edge was made with my new die-namics die from MFT and I finished things off with three little green buttons that I embellished with tiny pearls.

SereniTEA

Had a chance to play with some new goodies today.

I started with  a new stamp set that I purchased from Taylored Expressions called CreativiTEA. LOVE the romantic feel of this set. Right up my ally. I stamped it with SU Close to Cocoa ink and then clear embossed it to make it really pop. I sponged the edges of my circle with Tea Stain from PTI and mounted the circle onto a piece of Close to Cocoa cut out with my blossom nesties. The floral piece behind the image was cut with my Labels 11 from a piece of Graphic 45 paper that I have been hording. The polka dot paper is the flip side to the floral. I finished things off with some pretty lace ribbon also from Taylored Expressions, a few peachy pink roses from Prima and some chocolate crystals around the blossom. I am going to give this card to a very good tea drinking friend of mine who is just such a peaceful person. I know she will enjoy it.

Thanks so much for stopping in today. Hope you have a great day!!

LPSC68 Layout

Our challenge from Little Paper Shop this week is to create a scrapbook page. Oh boy was I challenged. I have not scrapped in years. Actually since I made my first card!!! But I have so many new pictures from the party that it was easy to find something fun to scrap. I chose this picture of me and my good friend. I used the super cute stamp set called Friends from Little Paper Shop and a used some scraps from my desk and alittle jar I keep above my desk with lots of misc doodads. Thats where I found my flowers and my scrap of ribbon. It all came together so well and I have to say I am pleased with this.

Come and play along with us this week. Check out the Little Paper Shop blog for some more inspiration and to see what you can win this week!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!!!

Another CC Designs Card

Okay, so I purchased this sweet Spring Kit of Swiss Pixies from CC Designs over at All That Scraps, and am having a blast using all the adorable stamps that came with it. (I just went back to All That Scraps and do not see the whole kit anymore but all the stamps in the kit are being sold individually listed under May Stamps.)

So I started out by stamping my image onto PTI Cardstock and colored it with my copics, a gelly roll glitter pen and I put a bit of glaze with my glaze pen over the heart for a little shine. I used my much neglected square nesties to cut  everything out. My cardstock today is all SU and my dp is MME Quite Contrary. Ribbon from stash, crystals from Taylored Expressions and the Butterflies were cut out with a MS punch. Oh and my layout is a Tuesday Sketch from Mercy from a few weeks ago.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day!!

Another cute new set from The Rubber Cafe. This sentiment just warms my heart. Even though I do not have a dog, I do have cats and I know just how nice it is to hug and love on your pets. So basically when the world gets you down, Hug the Dog!!! So true. Pets give such wonderful, unconditional love!!!

I started today by stamping my image with Memento Tuxedo Black onto PTI Cardstock and colored with my copics. My cardstock is all Prism, my dp is October Afternoon and I embellished with some large buttons with linen thread. Yay, easy and fun.

This set can be found at The Rubber Cafe and comes with a bunch of really cute sentiments and dogs. You will love it.

Well I finally got my pictures back and I just wanted to share a few with you. The picture of the room is what the ballroom looked like all decorated for our beach theme. Now I have to get back to scrapbooking. Thanks for popping by today...

Day three with a hop and a challenge!!

We have a fun day planned for you today over at the Little Paper Shop Blog. Not only are we previewing day three of this months release but we are having a blog hop and we have a color challenge for you to play with. The colors to play with are an odd combo and I must admit I embellished alittle on one of the colors. We were to play with Sage, Turquoise and Raspberry but I went with red instead of Raspberry. I hope this is close enough!!!

The new set we are previewing for you today is called Fathers. Wonderful sentiments for that special man in your life. Today I chose to keep things simple and do a bit of dry embossing to texturize my card a bit. I chose to use my swiss dots and starts embossing folders on my sage panels. I cut out my "DAD" with my labels one nesties and embellished with some black rhinestones and then finished things off with some gorgeous red ribbon from PTI.

There are prizes up for grabs again today to one lucky random winner. Check out the Little Paper Shop Blog for the deets but if you are coming to me from Heathers blog then you are on the right track and you will visit Jennifer next. Should you lose your way through the hop just start back at the Little Paper Shop Blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy all the fun today at Little Paper Shop

Beach Jena

Day two of previews for us at Little Paper Shop and today I am so excited to share with you this sweet new stamp called Beach Jena. She will be released this Tuesday along with two other new sets.

I started today by stamping Beach Jena onto PTI Cardstock and paper pieced her bathing suit and colored the rest of her with copics. I found this really fun Hibiscus type patterned Paper in one of the October Afternoon packs and thought it would be perfect for this image. I used some Yo-yo yellow cardstock and Baja Breeze. I created a "sun" in the center with my circle nesties.  I finished things off with some sheer ribbon and then I stamped the sun and shells, cut them out and scattered them around the card.

Julia at LPS is generous enough to give away another $10 Gift Certificate today to one lucky random winner. Just leave a comment on the Little Paper Shop Blog and good luck.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you are all enjoying your Mothers Day either with your kids or your own Mother.

Day One of LPS Previews

Day one of previews for us to share with you over at Little Paper Shop and today we are showing you Bumble Bee Jena. I am just in love with these little girls each month in their bug costumes and this one is no exception, and the sentiments that go along with the sets are super sweet!!

Today I chose some paper scraps that were on my desk to use. I believe they are from one of the October Afternoon packs. I stamped Jena, colored her with copics and a spica pen and paper pieced her dress. Then I completely cut her out and mounted her up on foam dots. I stamped my sentiment in the corner and paper pierced around it. Then I added some sheer black ribbon, a sweet yellow button and some linen thread. I know it is a simple layout today but I tell ya I was real pressed for time.  I worked at our elementary school for the past two days running the Mothers Day plant sale. It was a huge success and we raised alot of money for the 5th Grade Class.  Let me tell you, those little Kindergarteners are just as sweet as can be. They are smart little whipper snappers too!! It blows me away how advanced the younger grades are now as opposed to when my kids were that little. Lindsay is graduating Elementary this year and then I wont have any little ones anymore. Just big hormonal Pre Teens!!! Anyone have any clever advice to help me survive the next few years?

Thanks so much for stopping by. Take a look at the LPS Blog to read all about your chance to win a Gift Certificate to Little Paper Shop. How AWESOME!!! Pick out your own prize!!! Cant beat that. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!!

Oh boy did I have fun with this card. Last week I went to Stampers Dream to purchase some paper and needed to add something to my order for it to ship so I chose this super cute Penny Black stamp. Isn't this little hedgehog as sweet as can be??? I started by stamping him onto PTI cardstock and coloring him with my copics. My dp was also purchased at Stampers Dream. It is Pink Paislee 365 Degrees. Then I followed one of my all time fav sketch challenges. Mercys Tuesday Sketch and this is what I came up with. My border punch is the new one from SU. I used rectangle nesties to cut out my image and I embellished with some New Leaf buttons from PTI and put a coat of glaze over the flower petals which you cant see in this picture.
